AHS Library and Media Center Mission:

The mission of Alleghany High School Library is to welcome all students within an evolving school environment by guiding them as they grow and explore their passion for learning. The school library media specialist will nurture students and inspire creativity as they embark on their leadership journey.

The goal of the AHS Library Media Center is to support the mission of Alleghany High School by providing a safe, welcoming, and educational setting for all students and staff. The library media center is a central hub of information providing a comprehensive collection of both print and non-print sources supporting the research, reading, viewing, and instructional needs of the staff and students. The library media center strives to enhance student learning & achievement, increase & promote literacy, and prepare students to meet their highest potential in a changing world.
